Welcome 2019

Happy New Year to All!

Things have been quiet around here lately, at least as it applies to my yakking. But have no fear, we are still in business and shipping parts. There are always ideas rolling around in the ole noggin about new parts, improvements, rebuilds, etc. What is holding me back? Time and capital. Hard to score either of those..So until I find them, your going to have to settle for me staying on as just your loyal parts jockey, and I guess that’s ok with me if it is with you..

Wishing all of you a blessed 2019.

Is there any one part that there’s sufficient demand for to justify someone starting a cottage business?

    Thanks Everyone!

Dave, I can think of a lot of parts where one could sell one or two or three a year. Something a guy (or gal) with metal fab skills could do as an aside, done just as much for the fun of it as for profit. I’m not the guy to do that, but could see myself as a middle man so to speak. Things that come to mind is the clean grain elevator, tailings boot, grain pan…one thing I wish I could pull off is to do one complete rebuild per year….Do the machine, test it on five acres of wheat and then sell it….would have to get back on the farm as I am living about 25 min away…that wont be for a while.

One recent development in my “real job” is that I now work for a metal stamping plant..we are installing a million dollar laser cutter…boy did that get me thinking LOL!

Hello! Just sent you all an email. I am the new owner (as of 7pm last night) of an All-Crop 66 in Saint Marys, PA. This is our first combine so I am the newbie of newbies here. Very thankful there is a resource like this…AND run by folks here in the Commonwealth. Apologies for the many, many dumb questions that will be forthcoming from me…appreciate everyone’s help.

    Thanks!

Welcome to the club! (or nightmare as results may vary) Feel free to ask all the dumb questions you want, cause remember there is no dumb question, just dumb people! – just kidding! But seriously, don’t confuse ignorance with stupidity. Unlike ignorance you cant fix stupid. Technically I am just across the state line in Ohio, but my farm is in PA.
